Castor Oil is derived from the seed of the castor plant and is odorless and tasteless, but has a very thick consistency. One of the major benefits of Castor Oil for hair is that it promotes hair thickness and growth. If you are experiencing unexpected hair loss or just need a little umph to your hair, here are a couple of simple recipes/tips for thicker, longer and stronger hair.
- Dilute a small amount of Castor Oil with a lighter oil such as Sweet Almond Oil or Grapseed Oil to make a thinner consistency. Apply to hair with a dye brush, applicator bottle or your fingertips. After your scalp and hair is completely saturated with the oil, cover with a plastic cap and leave on for a few hours, then wash as usual. I do this treatment about once a week and it has worked wonders for my hair! I also like to use this oil mixture as a nightly make-up remover before I wash my face.
- Castor Oil also works great on your eyebrows and lashes believe it or not. I like to take a clean mascara wand and apply a small amount to my eyebrows at night and also a bit to my lashes. Most of the eyelash growth formulas that are really popular nowadays have Castor Oil as the main ingredient in their products. I have been doing this for about a month now and noticed a huge difference!
Castor Oil is also an incredible pain reliever. If you ever have a sore neck, back or legs, simply take a cotton rag/cloth and saturate it with Castor Oil. Apply it to the area needing relief and wrap with plastic wrap to keep it from soaking into your clothes. Leave on overnight or for a few hours if you have time to relax during the day. Applying heat to the wrap helps too if you have a heating pad available. Not only will it relieve any muscle tension you have but it will also leave your skin super soft and smooth!

DeleteWell she always emphasizes that castor oil pulls. For example, you could remove a mole by rubbing castor oil on it every night. I've heard of people using it on scar tissue too.
